Directions and Other Useful Information
The reception and keynote address will be held Friday evening April 2nd on the 6th floor of the brand new, state-of-the-art George Washington University Hospital, located in the historic Foggy Bottom section of Washington. The hospital is conveniently located at the Foggy Bottom Metro station on the Orange and Blue lines. I suggest using public transportation if possible. If you drive, the address is 23rd and I Streets NW. There are several parking garages in the area. A list of hotels is available.
The plenary session will be held at on Saturday April 3rd in room 101 Ross Hall. Ross Hall is directly across the I Street pedestrian plaza from the hospital at the corner of 23rd and I Streets. The talks will begin at 10:00 am and continue until they are completed. Talks should be 10 minutes with 5 minutes for discussion. You will need a photo identification to enter the hospital and Ross Hall.
After the talks, we encourage you to take in the sites of Washington if you have the time. In addition to monuments and free museums, the cherry trees around the tidal basin should be in bloom, providing a truly impressive botanical display.
We anticipate a lively meeting, and look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
John Hawdon, Host
Bill Moser, President
Sherman Hendrix, Vice- President
