Final Call for Papers

Dear Helminthological Society of Washington Member:

            The 686th meeting of the Helminthological Society of Washington will be held at

The Department of Microbiology and Tropical Medicine of the George Washington University, Friday evening and Saturday April 2-3, 2004, and hosted by Dr. John Hawdon.

            This year’s meeting will include a keynote address give by Dr. Dan Brooks (University of Toronto) and reception on Friday night.  A plenary session of oral and poster presentations will be held on Saturday. In addition, this meeting will include a special student competition. The recipient of the best student presentation will receive $200 and the runner-up will receive $100. Two honorable mention awards of one year’s membership to the Helminthological Society of Washington will also be given. Students who wish to be considered for the awards must so indicate on the enclosed registration form. For those who desire to stay in the area overnight, a short list of hotels/motels will be provided upon registration.

           

Please show your support for your society and your discipline by attending and participating in meeting on the 2nd and 3rd of April, 2004.  We can still incorporate a few presentations into the program, so please fill out the enclosed registration form and e-mail it Dr. Dennis Richardson (Dennis.Richardson@quinnipiac.edu) and mail the check for $25 to Dr. Dennis Richardson, Quinnipiac University, 275 Mt. Carmel Avenue, BOX 71, Hamden, CT 06518 as soon as possible.
