The Center for Career Development

The Center for Career Development is located at 53 W. Stevens Street (next to the Department of Public Safety). We are open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5pm. We have drop-in hours Monday-Friday from 2:30-4:30pm and available by appointment via our online appointment request form ( https://www.gettysburg.edu/about/offices/college_life/career/appointment-request-form.dot ), phone (6616 from any campus phone or 717-337-6616), or by email at career@gettysburg.edu.

Never worked on campus before?

If you have not worked for the College in the past, in order to be entered into the payroll system you must submit student employment paperwork within the first three days of work, and you will need to present original identifying documentation (pdf) (examples include: passport, Social Security Card, state-issued driver’s license) to complete the Federal I-9 Form. Refer to this excerpt from the I-9 Form for information on what to do if you do not have the required document(s). All forms can be obtained from the Center for Career Development.

Siegfried Career Fellowship Program Application Open!
If you are a current junior (Class of 2018) who would like to learn the skills needed to gain a competitive advantage in securing a summer 2017 internship and future employment, then the Siegfried Career Fellowship Program is for you! Fellows participate in a year-long, interactive professional development curriculum of sessions, events, and activities and receive individual mentoring to help them prepare for their internship search. The application to apply opens on August 1^st. Go to https://www.gettysburg.edu/about/offices/college_life/career/siegfried/ and look for the link under “Apply Today!” Deadline to apply is September 15, 2016.

Part-Time Job Fair
The Part-time Job Fair will be on August 31^st,from 11:30am-1pm in the College Union Building Lobby area (outside of the Post Office and Bookstore). The following on-campus departments that will be recruiting: Admissions, Cash Operations (Ike’s, Bullet Hole, Dive, and Commons), Center for Career Development. The following off-campus employer partners that will be recruiting: Gettysburg Hotel, Inn at Herr Ridge & Sharpshooters Grille, Liberty Mountain Resort, Olivia’s Restaurant, The Links at Gettysburg, The Pike Restaurant & Lounge, and Vector.
