Many summer research opportunities are
available at a variety of institutions
and
organizations, and will be listed below
as they are received (most listed below are for Summer '09,
but this will change as the 2009-2010
academic year begins and time permits; it's still worth looking at these
websites now - and don't hesitate to
contact the organizations directly for
information). Any available
hard copies
(a lot of announcements are now only on line,
so it pays to explore on your own!) will
be posted
on the bulletin boards in the Masters Hall Physics Student
Lounge.
Our experience has been that most of the web
sites for these programs are clear and complete (and
many applications available for download,
and to be returned,
via the Web), but if you have any questions, don't
hesitate to ask one of your Physics Department's professors
for assistance. AND check with the Gettysburg College
Center for Career
Development.
Those folks want to help you as well, and may have knowledge
of even
more opportunities!
Deadlines for applications vary, so
peruse these and other website
information pages - and take action
soon.
