Hubble
telescope
and the
Mars landers? Are you intrigued by
lunar
and
solar
eclipses?
Do you enjoy going to planetarium shows, and find
yourself looking skyward on crisp clear evenings?
Well,
chances are you are ready to become a member of Gettysburg
College's Friends of Astronomy!

The
Friends' mission is to enjoy and support the programs and
facilities at the
Gettysburg College
Observatory,
its
Radio Telescope,
and the
Hatter
Planetarium, as well as to serve as an organization to
increase public awareness of college and community issues
affecting astronomy.
For
an annual fee of only $15, benefits to members include:

Notification
of general Observatory open houses and Planetarium shows;

Invitations to special Observatory open houses and Planetarium
shows;
-
Invitations to special events;
-
Access to Observatory Web cams;
-
An open invitation to view observing sessions at the Observatory;
and
-
Notification of issues affecting astronomy (such as light
pollution).
To
become a Gettysburg Friend of Astronomy, simply complete the
application
form
and return it along with a check for $15 (payable
to Gettysburg College) to:
