Physics 319: Classical Mechanics. Intermediate level course in mechanics for upperclass physics majors. Topics include generalized coordinate systems, systems of many particles, rigid-body dynamics, central forces, oscillations, and the formalisms of Lagrange and Hamilton. Prerequisite: Physics 211, Physics 255 and Mathematics 211.
