Embedding a Flash Video File and Controls

To embed a .flv file and player controls into your web page:

1. Open your html page in Dreamweaver 8. (Older versions of Dreamweaver do not offer the Flash Video option.)
2. Place the cursor at the point on the page where you wish the movie to appear.
3. From the Insert menu, select Media and Flash Video.
4. In the dialog box that appears, select Progressive Download from the Video Type drop-down menu.
5. Click the Browse Button and select your .flv file.
6. Select a Skin from the drop-down menu.
7. Check the Constrain box.
8. Click the Detect Size button.
9. Check the Prompt users to download Flash Player if nescessary option.
10. Click OK.

Please Note: Dreamweaver automatically creates two .swf files needed to play your .flv file. Do not delete these files.
